1882 to Present - Our Historic Home

George Bressler was an early pioneer and builder in Breckenridge, who arrived in the 1860s and married Sophia Rautschler in 1882. He built their lifelong home at 112 South Ridge Street, expanding it between 1890 and 1896. George worked as a carpenter, miner, and liveryman, and the Bressler’s livery stable was on Main Street and Lincoln Avenue. After George and Sophie passed away, their property changed hands several times.

In 1972 the house was modified with the addition of a front porch, a south wing using materials from a historic log house, and the conversion of the downstairs into commercial retail spaces. It has housed various businesses since, including Amazing Grace, Ridge Street RecordsMountain Cyclery and Ski Exchange, and Mountain Outfitters (1985-2023).

The exterior paint was changed in 2023 to reflect the new owners, Ready Paint Fire!.
